‘Found in a Dream’ shares a story about a young adopted African Australian man and the social issues that surround him. The film is set in Melbourne, Australia and in Ethiopia. ‘Found in a Dream’ explores the themes of isolation and segregation that often leads young African Australian people to struggle with relationships, education and work. The film looks at these issues through Abeselom, a young drug dealer. His world is changed when he meets Netsanet and for the first time he feels real love again. Found in a Dream is about love, culture, and ultimately, finding comfort within connection.
